S.A.T.B. Syllabus for Grade 3 Harmony

Material for Grade 3 Harmony part writing is limited to major keys, and includes:

  • All diatonic triads in root position and inversions
  • Cadential six-four and passing six-four chords
  • V7 and ii7 in root position and inversions
  • V/V, V7/V in root position and inversions, as well as vii6/V
  • Simple modulations to the dominant key
